Happy and Healthy Go Hand and Hand

A healthy work out habit to create is to always listen to your body. Working up a good sweat, getting your heart really pumping and feeling the burn in your muscles are normal reactions to working hard, but sharp, sudden pains or throbbing joints are not. If you don’t listen to these important body signals when they happen and you don’t stop what you are doing, you can risk serious injury, which will definitely set back your progress. Also, if post workout pains don’t ease after a few days off with the rest and ice, it’s time to go see a doctor. Any signs of swelling, discoloration or numbness are an alarm that something is wrong and needs to be checked out. You are your best coach and trainer, so don’t ignore the messages your body is telling you.

Reset

4 Jars of Reset

Colostrum has been called the promise of life, and research shows that it is the one supplement that can bring help to everyone that uses it. Colostrum is the key HGH precursor ingredient in RESET, our newest energy filled, antiaging formula pre-workout powdered supplement. Colostrum is found in all mammals’ milk and is passed from mother to child through breastfeeding to stimulate the initial growth factor. The child will then produce its own growth hormone until growth is completed, at which point, production drops off dramatically. The real irony is that human growth hormone is the closest thing we have to the fountain of youth, but production is greatest during one’s youth and not as an adult. IGF-1 rich bovine colostrum is the purest and most readily available form of Colostrum and nearly identical to the serum in humans. By adding Colostrum to RESET, we are once again stimulating an increase in the body’s natural production of HGH to help build and keep lean body mass, as well as helping with weight control and reducing belly fat in the midsection in addition to many other health benefits.

Pre-Workout Antiaging Formula

One of the most promising areas of antiaging research is telomere biology. If you haven’t heard of them before, telemeres are tiny protective caps located at the end of each DNA strand in our body that protect the code contained in every chromosome. Think of them as being like those plastic ends on shoelaces that keep the laces from unraveling. These  telemeres shorten as we age, leaving the DNA vulnerable. One of the most destructive effects to the telomeres comes from oxidative stress caused by free radicals running wild in our bodies. When we created Power Performance Products’s new Reset formula, we put extra effort into addressing this oxidative stress by including a powerfully effective dose of antioxidants to fight the destructive effects of free radicals. Reset is the very first pre-workout ENERGY product to address the stresses at the root of aging, while also stimulating the body’s ability to create it’s own human growth hormone or HGH. HGH declines dramatically as we age and this decline is responsible for many of the negative side effects of aging we see in our bodies as we grow older. Now you can fight back at the effects of aging with the one-two punch antioxidants and HGH precursors of “Reset” our first Advanced Pre-Workout Antiaging Formula.

Are you a slave to the scale?

All body weight is not created equal. Fat and muscle both show up the same way when we step onto the scale – as pounds (or kilograms to some of you). When starting a weight-loss program, many of us become slave to the scale and feel like we’re winning or losing based on those daily numbers the scale flashes back at us. But fat and muscle are very different in composition. Fat deposits make us look puffy and pudgy, while lean, strong muscles give our bodies definition and sculpted shape. Yet muscle is denser than fat and actually weighs more. Muscle is a metabolic powerhouse, burning calories and releasing feel-good neurochemicals. Fat, on the other hand, releases harmful stress hormones that drag our emotions and our health downward. Strength training should be an important component in any sensible weight-loss program, but if you are putting in the hard work, don’t be discouraged if the scale doesn’t always show dramatic losses in weight. You are probably building muscle, which is just what you want to do – and that new muscle you gain will go farther than anything else to guarantee that you reach your body goals and hold onto them. Remember that Body Effects has everything you need to control your appetite, keep your mood up, and promote healthy muscle growth as you burn and lose that excess weight.

Remember when trying to stick to a regular exercise and workout schedule, it’s okay to take a day off here and there, but frequent slacking off will eventually sabotage making any real progress. If you’re finding it too easy to make excuses to skip, try working out with others. Invite a friend or two to meet at the gym, maybe after work, for regular workouts together. And remember to always try and keep your workouts interesting so you don’t get bored from getting into a rut. Mix things up! Talk to a trainer about some new exercises or drop in on a class you haven’t taken before. Variety is the spice of life!

REMEMBER TO STAY HYDRATED-

admin Health Tips Leave a Comment

HydrateWhether you use Body Effects or Reset, always remember to drink lot’s of pure, clean water. Water to stay well-hydrated is your body’s best friend. It’s important for detoxifying and for maintaining optimum functioning of all of your inner systems. Remember, sodas, caffeinated drinks like coffee, tea and especially alcoholic beverages DO NOT COUNT. They all act to rob your body of water. If you find plain water boring, invest in a carbonator like Sodastream to add a little sparkle. A dash of lemon or lime also adds refreshing interest. Here’s to your health!

2015NYBlog

The new year is upon us and the gyms will soon be full with many eager to start a new year pledge to lose weight, get fit or just undo the damage done by too much holiday fun. But don’t be pushed out by the crowds because in a few months from now, the numbers will start to diminish when those best intentions of many begin to fall by the wayside. Do yourself a big favor to help you get off to a great start and make that appointment now with a fitness trainer at your gym so you can get your personal, sensible program on track for success. Start the new year out at a steady pace and work your way up to where you eventually want to be – and remember to mix things up to keep your workouts interesting as well as effective.

Balance those weight and resistance training sessions with aerobic cardio work on other days, and don’t forget to include some comprehensive stretch based work like yoga or Pilates. Your body will thank you for it. If there are days you just can’t make it to the gym, even 10 to 30 minutes of active calisthenics or stretch band work will keep you moving ahead to that goal of a healthier, fitter you. Here’s to a healthy, Happy “New Year” from everyone at Power Performance Products.
